I have a feeling this is going to happen a lot on the days that I have school. Especially since it is only going to get colder in the mornings. But somehow, I have to be able to find my motivation at 4:50 am because that's how it is going to be twice a week for me until the end of December. So...how does one go about doing that? I will let you know as soon as I figure it out. I am going to try again on Thursday.
Speaking of motivation. There are other things that I have to gear myself up to get motivated to do as well today. Other things that are on my bucket list. I added to my bucket list just recently to meet new people. Well, tonight is the first night of class. I need to make an effort to strike up a conversation with someone sitting around me. Or, at the very minimum, say hello, and I mean actually say hello in a volume that someone can hear me. I need to look them straight in the eye, smile and say "Hi". It probably seems so easy for some of you who are reading this, but for me, it's not easy at all. I can do the look into their eyes for exactly 1 second, look away and smile and say hi in a volume that is so low that not even a dog could hear it.
But you know what else I find even more hard about this situation? The way people sometimes react to it. Everyone has to be so guarded anymore that when someone says hello to them, and they don't know them, they automatically think they are up to no good. It is very hard to meet new people when everyone is cautiously watching their backs. You never know if the person sitting next to you that smiles and says hi to you every day is going to be the one who brings a gun to school and shoots up the classroom because they are having a bad day or something. It's sad really. But that is the society that we live in. However, I cannot let that stop me from trying. I will make an effort to say hello and try and be...less shy. Here is a very motivating thought for me today! I begin another semester of school that gets me that much closer to graduating on time! 3.5 months this semester, then only 6 semesters to go before completion. Wow, when you put it that way, it doesn't seem like much at all. Awesome. I better start figuring out where I want to go on my cruise when I finish! LOL. Actually before that, I better figure out what major I am going to go with. What do I want to be when I grow up???
